How AEQUA processes personal data. We are privacy-first by design: no user accounts at launch, no tracking cookies, no selling of data.

1. Who we are

The data controller is the operator of aequa.fi (“AEQUA”, “we”). For any privacy request, contact [email protected].

2. What data we process

AEQUA is an informational tool. At launch it does not offer user accounts, so we do not collect names, emails or profiles. We process only:

  • Server logs — IP address, browser type, requested pages and timestamps, generated automatically when you visit the site.
  • Aggregate analytics — anonymous, cookieless usage statistics (see Section 4).

We do not process special categories of data, and we do not use your data for automated decision-making or profiling.

3. Legal basis

We rely on our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) in operating, securing and improving the site. Because we set no non-essential cookies, no consent is required for our analytics.

4. Analytics

We use a privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics service, provided by a third-party analytics provider acting as our processor, to measure aggregate traffic without cookies and without tracking you across sites. It does not build a personal profile and does not identify you individually. If the provider stores data outside the EEA, transfers are covered as described in Section 8.

5. Retention

Server logs are kept for 90 days and then deleted or anonymised. Aggregate analytics contain no personal data and may be kept indefinitely.

6. Sharing and processors

We do not sell your data. We share it only with service providers that host the site and provide analytics, acting as our processors under contract. Outbound affiliate links take you to third-party exchanges governed by their own privacy policies.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR you may request access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and object to processing. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise any right, contact [email protected].

8. International transfers

Where a processor is located outside the EEA, transfers are covered by an adequacy decision or Standard Contractual Clauses.

9. Changes

We may update this policy; the “last updated” date reflects the latest version. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
